Hydraulic Wiper Seal
Hydraulic wiper seals ensure that dirt, dust particles and moisture are not introduced into the hydraulic cylinder. Hydraulic cylinders operate in different environmental conditions. So, dirt, dust particles and moisture may cause significant damage to the rod, cylinder wall, seals, and other components.
Wiper seal design (Double lip)
The design of double lip wiper seal is such that it reliably wipes off the dirt from surface of piston rod. In addition, it leaves a residual oil film on the rod. Its structure makes it excellent in dust resistance and less oil leakage.
Wiper seal material
Wiper seals material is Polyurethane (PU). Polyurethane is a special material that offers the resilience of rubber combined with the toughness and durableness. In fact it allows people to substitute rubber, plastic with PU.
Polyurethane can reduce factory maintenance and OEM product cost. Polyurethane has better abrasion and tear resistance than rubbers, and offering higher load bearing capacity.

Installation of Wiper seal
It fits easily into the closed housing by deforming into a kidney shape. But, It is very important that the assembly tools must be of soft material and have no sharp edges. Before installation the wiper must be oiled with system oil.

Notes
This seal should be used in combination of suitable rod seals to avoid hydrodynamic pressure or pressure relieving bore between seal and wiper should be constructed to prevent the build up pressures.
